Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been seemingly inseparable this past month, which had fans wondering why the two weren’t spending Thanksgiving together. Now, thanks to some insider information, we might finally have an explanation for their time apart…
E! News reports, “They both spent Thanksgiving with their families. Justin went to Canada and Selena was in Texas. They are still doing really well together, but they agreed it was best for them to be with their families for the holiday.”
And while that’s certainly good enough of a reason for the pair to spend Thanksgiving apart, it wasn’t the whole story. It seems like Selena felt it would be hasty to have a joint Thanksgiving seeing as their getting back together is still super new. The E! source went on to explain, “Selena felt it was too soon for Justin to come to Texas with her. Her family is still getting comfortable with the idea of them back together.” Another insider revealed that, although they weren’t together, they still FaceTimed and chatted the entire time they were apart.
It’s probably good that the pair is going slow considering how on and off they were previously. It’s almost as if they’re treating it as a brand-new relationship and not just jumping back where they left off — a healthy decision which we definitely approve of and support!
But what about Christmas, you ask? Apparently, the Biebs is looking to spend that holiday by his lady love’s side, but knows that it’s going to be a while for her family to accept their relationship again. So here’s to hoping that now that the old Justin can’t come to the phone right now, and that the new Justin WILL be invited to spend Christmas (or at least New Year’s!) with Selena.
